@Red Devil: How is this table even generated? If it is just you going through the tables then it seems a bit WP:ORish / WP:SYNTHy. I think it's better to have a peaceful solution, but i do agree with the point raised by Spike 'em. The following point on WP:OR states: "The phrase "original research" (OR) is used on Wikipedia to refer to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist. This includes any analysis or synthesis of published material that serves to reach or imply a conclusion not stated by the sources. To demonstrate that you are not adding original research, you must be able to cite reliable, published sources that are directly related to the topic of the article and directly support the material being presented." Despite the section currently being highly/mostly accurate, it fits indeed in an original research description. I'm an amateur editor, but I get the concept. I understand your point, but this is simple calculations, so I didn't think it needed a source - in this case I believe all sources that give NT squads are the source for our statistics. But if it's a problem, then we can probably wait until Monday-Tuesday, when official stats will be available. We can look for another solution, however before we come to conclusions, I believe the matter will no longer exist, as there will be a FIFA source. Peace! Shouldn't these players be listed with the clubs they have been loaned out to before the World Cup, instead of the clubs that own them? That's how other loanees are treated (and, I'd say, the traditional way to do it).

Benzema must remain on the list of players since he appears on the official FIFA list, it is also not possible to drop a player unless he is replaced by another, therefore he continues to be registered, just put the note that he will not be with the team due to injury.

Benzema withdrew injured prior to the tournament and France no longer consider him part of their squad. Even though he may show up on the FIFA list, including him on the article does not accurately reflect the situation. The 2006 precedence mentioned above has the player who withdrew still mentioned in the squad, and PeeJay seems to agree with this. Against this is SA Julio saing to not include Benzema. Benzema still appears on the FIFA list, and given the edit note says to use the official list, I think that is what we should do in this case (with a note against him saying he was injured and not replaced). SUBSTITUTES

It should be modified in the first section that says "However, teams still may only name a maximum of 23 players on the match sheet for each tournament fixture (of which 12 are substitutes), in line with the Laws of the Game."

This is incorrect as the remaining 15 players will take the bench, as can be seen in this source: https://www.fifa.com/tournaments/mens/worldcup/qatar2022/media-releases/bureau-of-fifa-council-approves-increase-of-fifa-world-cup-tm-squads-to-26 (See the section "Amendments to the Regulations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™").
