Removal of MD5
[edit]Is there a particular reason that all the MD5 fixtures that appear on Soccerway have been deleted. I know I find it annoying when people don't reference these things, but Soccerway's info has been 95%+ accurate for MDs 1-4 (and have tended to be more accurate than CAF's page!!) 110.33.28.251 (talk) 11:13, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
- This has been restored. Seems like the Goat vandal found their way to this article, but I don’t know why an administrator would think the Soccerway info is part of the collateral damage. Jalen Folf (talk) 17:32, 30 October 2021 (UTC)
Updated times
[edit]Some of the times for 12 November were amended by CAF/FIFA and updating the page is blocked by someone who doesn't know better. BFA v NIG - 14:00 UTC +1, DJI v ALG - 15:00 UTC +2, GAB v LBY - 17:00 UTC+1. 110.33.28.251 (talk) 12:05, 12 November 2021 (UTC)
- Replying to the "doesn't know better" comment, again, the Jakarta Goat vandal has started targeting this page and protection was necessary to stop the vandalism. Jalen Folf (talk) 00:33, 14 November 2021 (UTC)
Ghana match fixing
[edit]An IP on 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification – CAF Third Round has found this source in regards to a match fixing investigation in the Ghana vs South Africa match on 14 November. Would it be worth including here? Jalen Folf (talk) 22:24, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
- I think it is definitely worth at least a note in the match box. If FIFA decides to change the match results at all, whether invalidating and ordering a rematch or awarding to RSA, then it should definitely go into the prose. — Jkudlick ⚓ (talk) 23:11, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- In addition to the note regarding alleged match fixing, I also added one to the 14 November COD–BEN match regarding an alleged violation of the substitution rules. — Jkudlick ⚓ (talk) 02:42, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
