GA review (see here for what the criteria are, and here for what they are not)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
a (prose, spelling, and grammar): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
All good here. Little niggle about and those involving Mark Selby and Judd Trump, were held over to be played in Fürth. Should this mean and those involving Mark Selby and Judd Trump were to be played in Fürth? Unless held over is a snooker terminology I am aware of, that sentence does read rather awkwardly. Appreciate it if you'd explain this, because I see you use "held-over" in the article too, and I'm wondering if these are the same/interchangeable. Consistent absence of Oxford comma too. Simply lovely.
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (reference section): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR): d (copyvio and plagiarism):
Novem Linguae's source reliability script turns up a lovely sea of green, no questions asked there. Earwig check is a-ok. One question, source number 5, Chris Turner's Snooker Archive, by what measure can this be considered a reliable source? Is Chris Turner a renowned snooker journalist? Snooker.org seems fine to me as it is used on several other high-quality snooker-related articles.
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
Nothing as far as I'm aware. Good coverage on the visa issues.
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
    Zilch.
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
Nada. There has been about 30~ odd revisions since the nomination, although seeing as your dedication to snooker I am assured that these revisions have been picked apart.
  6. It is illustrated by images and other media, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free content have non-free use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
A picture of a player would be nice, Commons doesn't have anything for Fan Zhengyi, but I'm not gonna fail you for this.
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
Solid pass. I'm pretty sure that concern I have about held-over is simply due to my lack of snooker knowledge, and I'd appreciate it if you explain it to me. There's not really much we can do to make the results section look nicer, putting in a table or list form either way there's gonna be lots of white space. Shame Ronnie couldn't play either, big fan of him. Hope you can get around to my article sooner or later. Cheers. X750. Spin a yarn? Articles I've screwed over? 22:33, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
