Eintracht Frankfurt winning the Europa League footnote
[edit]A footnote claims that "Germany (GER): If Eintracht Frankfurt win the 2021-22 Europa League, they would qualify for the 2022-23 Champions League group stage and Germany's Europa Conference League berth occupied by Köln would be abandoned." What rule is this statement based on? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zaister (talk • contribs) 08:42, 15 May 2022 (UTC)
- On the contrary, my understanding is that Eintracht Frankfurt's win has no effect on Koln's spot. Source: https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/news/how-many-bundesliga-teams-can-qualify-for-europe-19689
- Last year, Villareal won the UEL while also finishing top 7 in La Liga - Frankfurt failing to qualify for any European competition domestically whilst winning UEL results in 8 total spots for Germany Seen1been (talk) 01:13, 19 May 2022 (UTC)
TNS winning the Welsh cup not taking in account !
[edit]As TNS have qualified for Champions league, and could win the Welsh cup, this will leave a spot vacant. Japhes5005 (talk) 15:44, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
If TNS win the Welsh Cup then the runners up of the Cymru Premier will take the cup winner's spot and the play-off will be changed accordingly. Stevie fae Scotland (talk) 02:45, 3 April 2022 (UTC)
I'm aware of that, you have Bala because they finish in second, but not Penybont/Play off winners, as in other leagues. Japhes5005 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Japhes5005 (talk • contribs) 15:07, 23 April 2022 (UTC)
Israel
[edit]Maccabi Haifa [1] and Hapoel Beer Sheva [2] due the two team are already qualified to European competition via the League therfor the team was finish 4th get place in the Europa Conference League instead of the cup winner.

RFS ARE NOT THE FIRST TEAM FROM LATVIA TO PLAY IN A GROUP STAGE
[edit]Ventspils played in the Europa League back in 2009/10.
Wales, Andorra, Faroe Islands, Iceland, San Marino, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Montenegro, and Malta are the remaining teams that have not been represented in a group stage. Ryllyld (talk) 22:49, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
Shamrock Rovers
[edit]Mods there is a vandal here who keeps inserting the wrong club name.
Google, UEFA and club site can confirm the actual club name!

Also they appear to be in Holland on the map now, so maybe someone could fix that. CoatbridgeChancellor (talk) 13:08, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
Knock-out phase description
[edit]The current description of the knockout phase is incorrect:
In the draw for the knockout round play-offs, the eight group runners-up will be seeded, and the eight Champions League group third-placed teams will be unseeded.
The unseeded for the conference league are the third placed in the group phase of the Europa League, not CL ChromaticLlama (talk) 21:54, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
Incorrect grammar in knock-out round games
[edit]Currently in each of the knock-out round descriptions, it says "The first legs will be played on 16 February, and the second legs were played on 23 February 2023." *insert the appropriate date in the date locations for each round*
This is incorrect English grammar due to "were" is past-tense, but the second legs have yet to be played. It should be future-tense like how it is written for the first legs. I tried to edit this, but cannot due to it seems to be some template I can't access. Could someone please correct this? 130.76.24.25 (talk) 13:46, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
