A friendly that Arsenal lost 1–2 to Brentford
[edit]This is a message to user 86.1.36.142: please stop your repeated attempts (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) to remove a friendly that Arsenal lost 1–2 to Brentford from the article. There's an official post-match report. Please state the reason why you feel that the friendly match should not be added into the article. Thanks. --Phikia (talk) 06:06, 11 October 2022 (UTC)
- Please note, despite our similar IP addresses, I am not 86.1.36.142. I just wanted to bring your attention to the latest edit to the page that states that Arsenal themselves, do not include behind-closed-doors friendlies against Ipswich and Brentford on their official list of results. Therefore, I propose that these friendlies remain off the page and should not be re-included. Thank you. 82.26.206.44 (talk) 11:46, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your information! Both of the two friendlies are not included in the article now. --Phikia (talk) 14:03, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
Premier League Rounds and Postponements
[edit]Due to repeated attempts to alter the formatting of the page, I wanted to bring to everyone's attention that, the "round" parameter on the footballbox collapsible template is designated for the assigned round the fixture was given by the Premier League when the fixtures were announced (see here). Just because the order is not chronological, does not mean it is not factual and Wikipedia is a place of fact.
For example see this example from Liverpool's season, where multiple postponements have affected the chronology of the rounds. It is factually correct.
Thank you for your co-operation. 82.26.206.44 (talk) 18:59, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
Post-expand include size
[edit]On 20 March 2023, I noticed that this article could not display all the templates included. Please open the old version of the article as edited at 14:40, 20 March 2023 (UTC), scroll to the bottom of the page, then you will find that Template:2022–23 in English men's football is not displayed correctly. This error is because the post-expand include size of the article (2,096,399 bytes) is too large, and is near Wikipedia's post-expand include size limit (2,097,152 bytes).
To reduce the post-expand include size of the article, I replaced or removed the following templates.

Incorrect Content
[edit]I just removed a sentence which stated that, “Arsenal finished the season in 2nd place.” This is incorrect because they still have enough points to win the title, which will not be decided until at least next weekend. It is unnecessary to write that as, even if they did not know, everything on Wikipedia should be fact checked to make sure. Secondly, if the user did know the the Premier League situation, it is bias and useless. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 20CWight (talk • contribs) 20:21, 14 May 2023 (UTC)
