Title
[edit]Rgvis, "2021/2022 Romanian census" are descriptive names. Currently, "2021 Romanian census" is inaccurate as the census did not take place in 2021. If we are to use an official name, it should be a translation of Recesământul Populației și Locuințelor 2021. But the common approach is to use descriptive names for censuses. Per WP:CONSISTENT, I think this page should be moved back. Super Ψ Dro 14:23, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- The name of the census, as well as its results, refer to the reference day (1 December 2021), not to the period in which it actually took place. This practice is the same for all censuses. (Rgvis (talk) 14:32, 9 January 2023 (UTC))
- Needless to say, the respective census is established at the level of the European Union (the reference year being 2021 for all member states).[1] (Rgvis (talk) 14:37, 9 January 2023 (UTC))
- Apologies then. I hadn't seen you had added the reference day too. Super Ψ Dro 18:56, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- No apologies needed, we are here to discuss any such issue and your request was a perfectly normal one. Indeed, given the circumstances, this census seems a bit more atypical from certain points of view. (Rgvis (talk) 10:10, 13 January 2023 (UTC))
