Overall results
[edit]There's an overall result table on every past Manx election tables, as there's one on every election page in pretty much every country and dependencies for which we have the data. Thank you for your work on the constituencies, but there's no reason to delete such a table.--Aréat (talk) 02:11, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- Agree that the summary table is appropriate. Cheers, Number 57 09:18, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- Also, @Greenleader(2) and Jamesm2w: Does this change have any impact on the party total vote figures? Cheers, Number 57 10:36, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- Just doubled checked and while I think I caught that, I had missed 30 votes off of Independent candidates, have edited and corrected the numbers. Thanks! Jamesm2w (talk) 13:15, 24 September 2021 (UTC)

- What meaningful information is being conveyed by collating the results by political party here, and why is this information the most important (i.e., overall) result? There is no reason for such a table. 109.70.40.55 (talk) 10:44, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- There is, because this is how election results are usually reported. See, for example, Europe Elects' coverage of the election. Number 57 11:08, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- So, your reason for doing this is not because it is correct and relevant for this article? 109.70.40.55 (talk) 11:35, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- It is relevant, as the link I've provided shows. Number 57 11:37, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- That's a link to a post on Twitter? The point here is that political parties do not make up even a small proportion of any part of the political process, so claiming that they provide an overall summary of the election is specious and misleading. The political views of the House of Keys are not defined by party membership or affiliation. You are misrepresenting the governance of my country, because you want to apply the political process everywhere else to here, and you cannot imagine that it might be different. 37.18.142.171 (talk) 11:43, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
- There is no sign of research or investigation into the views of the vast majority of independent candidates, additionally. 37.18.142.171 (talk) 11:44, 24 September 2021 (UTC)
