Move to draft space

[edit]

@CASSIOPEIA: You moved this article to draft space as "Undersourced, incubate in draftspace". I can understand your rationale but it's not a useful move and I had to revert it. It's a reasonably high-profile article for New Zealand and all it achieved was that another editor recreated the page (as it was "obviously missing", I suppose) and that left us with an article that was even worse. I suggest that this will have to be fixed up in mainspace. Happy to receive your feedback and thoughts. Schwede66 17:16, 2 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Schwede66 Good day. Thank you for the message above. I understand and agree it is a high profile article just like all the "2019 in xxxx country" articles. Yes, I moved the article to draft space as not a source is included to support the content claimed. There has been a number of "2019 in xxx country" created in these few days and there is not a single source is included as well and some of the articles no contain in it (just sub sections). As a reviewer, I believe to find content and sources for such articles is very easy and to let it slips and check mark to place the article in the mainspace would suggest to the creator that it is ok not to include sources in article created and annoy the requirements of Wikipedia. Source included is the burden of the editor who added the content, after all Wikipedia is an encyclopedia which content need to be supported by source for verification. Thank you and happy new year.Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:12, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@HC7: As the creator of the article, would you like to do something about the problem and add some sources? That would be much appreciated. Schwede66 04:46, 3 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@HC7: Any comment from you? Schwede66 19:12, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@HC7: Not really, I added some references to the article yesterday. I made these articles just so they would be made so then content could be added when events and things like that happen. In short from me I feel whatever happens to the article happens to the article, same with the other 2019 in xxx country articles I have made. Sorry for not getting back earlier I have been really busy with stuff outside of Wikipedia lately and I had seen the ping and forgot to message back. --HC7Leave me a message! 19:14, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
