The article is at a very early drafting stages. I plan on adding much more information to page in general. A good deal of sources and information is new and can be traced to both major and independent news sources found on academic databases and simple web sources. I plan on keeping format that contrasts the usage by both the protesters and the Chinese government for comparative reasons, although I might consider an approach similar to the Arab Spring's discourse on social media.

Hello Jcbreur84. Overall I think your article is good so far. Your sections are well defined and your writing takes a neutral stance, showing both sides of the conflict. Your writing is also very well-sourced. Every sentence/paragraph has a source backing up the claim. The only suggestion I have is that you should probably add more to the "counter-protest usage" section of the main page so that both sides of the conflict have equal coverage. Of course, if there is enough information to add more onto that section. Other than that, I can't really think of any other issues or suggestions. You're doing good so far. Keep it up.

Mainspace update

[edit]

I have recently moved this article to the main space from the sandbox. My intention with this article was to analyze the relation of Hong Kong's recent protests in a fashion somewhat similar to the Arab spring articles. I have used sources sourced from an academic database as well as some good sources from other previously written articles ( the main article on the protests and the tactics page). I have tried to be very conservative with how much info I put up to try to avoid "cannibalizing" off the other sources and have to do more academic database searches as part of my next wave of changes and fixes. If anyone (fellow student or otherwise) wishes to make any changes or voice concerns don't hesitate to post to this talk page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jcbreur84 (talkcontribs) 19:40, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
