I'll take a look at this. Harrias talk 13:23, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- Add a short description.
- Done. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:19, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- It's still showing as missing for me? Harrias talk 15:20, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- Got lost when I closed a tab too soon. Should be fixed. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 15:55, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

- What source is supporting the players positions?
- Nothing. I'll remove. Something I probably need to address across these articles unless someone's got a better idea. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:19, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- Refs #1, #22 and #23, 11v11.com don't list a publisher, ref #10 does.
- Images
- What is the justification for the inclusion of the match day programme? The blurb claims "It makes a significant contribution to the user's understanding of the article, which could not practically be conveyed by words alone.", but I can't see what understanding of the match itself it adds.
- Ya got me!! More than happy to replace this. In actuality, I don't believe I've ever added a programme image myself, just gone along with it. I'll be removing them from the others in due course. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:19, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- Tables
- Could do with row scopes in the "positions" table.
- Completely renovated, what do you think? Happier now it's a wikitable rather than a hand-coded thing. Plus I added the missing full stops too. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:19, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- The table at the bottom of the Route to the final section is a bit of a mess: visually, the centre column isn't in the middle, there are no row or column scopes, etc etc. Unfortunately, none of these are violations of the GA criteria, so it doesn't matter.
- Fixed that too, once again when we're happy, I'll roll out the fixes to all the other such articles. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:19, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- Much prefer both of these now. (Well, technically, I'm still not keen on the second one at all, which I think is conveyed perfectly acceptably in the prose, but whatever.) The league table feels like it could do with a reference though. Harrias talk 15:20, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- League table reference applied in caption. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 15:54, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

- Prose
- "..and the first leg was played at the Stadium of Light." Clarify that this is a home fixture for Sunderland.
- Yes. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:26, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- I'm not keen on the rewording, "Sunderland faced Portsmouth at home in their play-off semi-final.." makes it sound like the entire semi-final was at home for Sunderland, while "..and the first leg was played at the Stadium of Light." sounds like it is referring to another match. Harrias talk 15:20, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- Doing whatever it takes to avoid (a) repetition and (b) noun + ing. So now I have two short sentences instead. How does that work? The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 15:54, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

- Yes. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:26, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- "Chris Maguire, who had been on the pitch for four minutes.." Without knowing when in the match this happened, this is odd phrasing: was it four minutes into the match, or had he come on as a substitute? (Presumably the latter.)
- Fixed. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:26, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- I've further rephrased this, but feel free to revert if you're not keen. What you had was fine, I just thought this version flowed better. Harrias talk 15:20, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- Fixed. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:26, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- "was an ill-disciplined affair" Sounds a bit like journalese/op-ed to me.
- Removed journalese, stuck to facts. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:26, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- "..with seven yellow cards being.." Avoid noun plus -ing.
- "..with the first leg being.." And again.
- "..Matty Blair scored a consolation goal.." It isn't really a consolation goal in the first leg of a two-legged tie is it? Consolation goal implies it doesn't make a difference, but in this case, it does.
- "..while Josh Maja was his team's most prolific striker having scored 15 times prior to the semi-finals, despite having left the club in January." I assume Maja played for Sunderland?
- "Long-term injured Igor Vetokele.." This seems odd phrasing; it almost feels like "Long-term injured" is a false title being ascribed to Vetokele.
- "..the 11-goal Aiden McGeady.." Again, this feels odd.
- "..with assistant referees Nick Hopton and Andrew Fox.." Fun fact, when I used to be a referee, I officiated a few games with Andrew.
Overall not much wrong with this one, nice work. Harrias talk 08:46, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- Harrias thanks very much. I'd appreciate thoughts on the two table "fixes" if you'd be so kind, as I would re-use the approach on the other dozen or so GAs/GANs if you're happy. Everything addressed. Cheers. The Rambling Man (Stay indoors, stay safe!!!!) 09:26, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
- Cheers, I've made a couple of copy-edits, and responded to a couple of points above. Harrias talk 15:20, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
