Gigantic film?

Where is the Disney film Gigantic? — User talk:73.47.37.131 (talk) 00:47, 27 December 2015 (UTC)

Multiple embedded rowspans, WP:DTT, WP:ACCESSIBILITY and general table utility

Hi there, re: this reversion, there is no value to the colorful table setup, save for aesthetics. The simpler tables are more compliant with WP:DTT and promote WP:ACCESSIBILITY. Further, they are sortable, and they don't require casual editors to have to futz with rowspan additions and subtractions when they add and remove titles, which has always been a concern. The vertical text, formatted with carriage returns, is also problematic as it can't be parsed properly by screen readers, which our visually impaired readers sometimes employ. And, with large tables like this we don't know what month we're looking at until we've scrolled halfway through the section for January. It's not a smart layout. Please also see this discussion. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:33, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

  • Oppose: Well, if other years have that layout, then why are they not changed? Why don't you change the other years like 2015/16 too? That's why I did it in the 1st place, so article structure was synchronized. [ EnigmaLord515 (talk) 17:12, 28 February 2016 (UTC) ]
  • EnigmaLord515 I know it's a bit of a stale conversation, but I felt it worth responding. Change has to start somewhere. Further, the vertical text is not compliant with MOS:DTT, so you're opposing accessibility in favor of purty colours. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:40, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

Sources

February 2 Untitled NC-17-rated film by the MPAA Paramount Pictures Frank Coraci (live-action director) Drama Live-Action is missing source. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8A0:7B80:5101:883D:D2C0:B740:717A (talk) 00:41, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

Changes to columns

Removed Medium column and added Country to list of films. Moved Animation and Hybrid Animation to Genre based on the existing information in the Medium column I removed.

I suggest the Year in film pages that are more than a year in the future get locked down. Have a link for regular editors to submit suggested updates for approval instead of messing with all the fanboyz adding their wishlists for stuff like Harry Potter and the Zombie Dumbledore Part LIV.

If we start putting in every film that someone is THINKING about making the world will come to an end, especially once they see what I am thinking. Same thing with the sections for Highest-grossing films, Events and Notable deaths. We would probably get a bunch of weirdos checking every day to see when they are going to snuff it. Move Paddington 2 to 2017 in film. Fanoflionking (talk) 16:43, 4 August 2017 (UTC)

Untitled fox/marvel film march 2 2018

There is an untitled fox/marvel film scheduled for march 2 2018 as we'll someone keeps removing it even after sources have been cited

I have restored the untitled Fox/Marvel films. It's the same user who keeps removing them without providing a reason. He has done so under several IP addresses and has been warned repeatedly:
That last IP address was blocked for one week after I reported him. A day later, he was at it again with this edit under 88.0.240.56. His latest IP address is 79.155.49.173.  AJFU  (talk) 15:33, 12 April 2017 (UTC)

This usually annoys me but i think a semi protection is in order it just got removed again

I think it's gone again T.Youssef (talk) 00:31, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

Here we go again

Right, so this happens every year so I'm gonna explain it again, as per Years in film articles a film should be posted on the list of their EARLIEST release date, I explained last year, BOM has their own criteria when it comes to categorising films, but that criteria isn't technically correct, so I'm asking for those who update the Highest-grossing list and everything else on this page to check the release dates of the film and make sure it wasn't released in 2017 first. Paddington 2

I know Paddington 2 was listed in 2017 because it was a UK release on November 10, 2017. However, it is getting a US theatrical release this week on January 12, 2018. Would it be listed again since it's a different release region, or is it not reflected again since the original release was reflected last year? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.192.63.2 (talk) 20:02, 8 January 2018 (UTC)

It should not be listed here, Paddington 2 was released in UK (and other countries) in 2017, doesn't matter if it has a US release date in 2018, this is not a US film page, this is a Worldwide film page. DCF94 (talk) 15:48, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

Change 7 to 8 on Peter Rabbit Editmaster12345 (talk) 19:30, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. — IVORK Discuss 22:46, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

I believe Editmaster wanted Peter Rabbit's ranking on the top-grossing list to go from 7 to 8. It and Death Cure were both listed as 7 on the list. I took care of that and now, both films are deferentially ranked. Crboyer (talk) 23:29, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

Disney

Disney hits $1 billion domestic on its 117th day in 2018! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.81.39.147 (talk) 22:58, 30 April 2018 (UTC)

Genre

I noticed that the Genre column for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 were deleted by a high school kid. It was deleted on 2015 but was restored by many. Hope not for this year and all other years. It's a very helpful column especially when looking for movies to watch. my7thsecret (talk) 10:08, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

change the Deadpool 2 information. Currently, it's in number 10 and it's showing $312.8million, but it should be on number 8 before monster hunt and it gross more than $363million. That's the change request. 106.203.147.78 (talk) 07:51, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Sam Sailor 10:54, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
