August 7, 2017 lunar eclipse in Greece

[edit]

The lunar eclipse will start at sunset in Greece. In one part that I saw via Google Earth, weather conditions are all clear, no clouds there, the eclipse will be in progress, just after sunset, one part will see the Moon dark just after sunset and in one part right after sunset. The partial lunar eclipse visible in many areas, parts are not, there are some clouds over the Gulf of Patras which blocks a part of the view in the western part and Cephallonia (also as Kefallonia). Terriffic Dunker Guy (talk) 18:12, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Partial eclipse remains visible in areas like Athens, Patras, the Peloponnese, the Cyclades, most of Central Greece but not most of Pindus but a bit in some areas in limited cloud cover that are thin and the Ionian Islands.
