Endorsements
[edit]Today former PC MP and PC MLA Peter Elzinga endorsed Doug Schweitzer for leader, which section would he fall under former federal or former MLA? He spent 12 years as an MP before spending 7 as an MLA. MarkFizz (talk) 16:33, 27 July 2017 (UTC)
- Hi MarkFizz, my rule of thumb if someone falls into multiple endorser categories is to put them as high up the list as possible. That makes our order of precendence:
- current MLAs
- current MPs and Senators
- current mayors and councillors
- former MLAs
- former MPs and Senators
- other important people
- If this were an article about a federal party's leadership race, MPs would be more important than MLAs, but since it's provincial MLAs are more relevant. I've moved Elzinga to that category. Madg2011 (talk) 18:10, 27 July 2017 (UTC)
Missing events
[edit]There is a lot of information missing here. Such as: -voting method and private sector company that was contracted to carry out the election -RCMP launching investigation into Jason Kenney’s leadership campaign -multiple party rules and potentially laws broken by Kenney’s campaign including: —paying for fees for new members —creating fake email addresses attached to new memberships —intercepting voting ID codes using the fake email addresses —casting votes using intercepted voting ID codes from a voting centre set up by Kenney campaign —using VPNs at the voting centre in order to cast multiple votes from the same computers in the voting centre
That’s really just the tip of the iceberg. I know there was a lot more to it but I have forgotten a great deal since then. I think the points I listed above are extremely important for the context of the first UCP leadership vote. 107.190.76.12 (talk) 02:14, 10 December 2021 (UTC)
