Sponsors
[edit]The Sponsors section is problematic in its current state. The mere nature of name sponsorship is that these companies paid for their names to be associated with the games. If its explained what constitute a Gold, Silver, and Bronze sponsor would make the section more tolerable since it would add value to the article in regards to events organization.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 00:10, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
- The section is okay now. There is now context and some citation for the sponsors. Citations for the other sponsors needed preferably third-party ones.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 14:19, 13 July 2017 (UTC)

[Warning] Editors on the wiki
[edit]It has been brought to my attention that information under the concerns and controversies section has been added rather hastily without proper knowledge of the actual controversy itself by users, especially non-registered users. It has to be made clear that all info added to the wiki are for public sharing purposes, therefore all information added must be of accuracy and no information must be left out out of being biased towards any individual or subject matter relating to this page. I warn editors, registered and non-registered users alike, to check all info before adding in and reference links, citations that follow are a must. Otherwise, other edits made will be deemed as a form of vandalism to the page and the users in question who has made the edits shall be blocked from making any further edits to the page.
Thank you and have a good day. EnvyDC (talk) 07:19, 19 August 2017 (UTC)

Starting Date
[edit]In the top of the article is written, the games "will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 19 to 30 August 2017" but in the Calendar the first events seem having been already started on 14 August. So something seems being wrong or not clear. David Bruchmann (talk) 14:51, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

I agree. This page has been a target of numerous vandalism acts since the games began. All Malaysian Wikipedians must certainly keep a lookout. We must also be aware of users especially non-registered users who are making edits to this page. I can't check this page all the time since I'm having quite a handful on my side in the real world. Hopefully there will be other Malaysian Wikipedians who could help keep a look out and check all the info and links given in this page.
Users from other nations are certainly being biased towards our country hosting the events and are constantly on a lookout to find more faults in our country hosting the events. All Malaysian Wikipedians must be on high alert to ensure our country is not painted in the wrong light due to false or incomplete info given. By the way, can anyone help check the source of the Vietnamese news that claimed that our national athlete Elena Goh for cheating? Is it the one and only news in the South East Asian region to make claim of this? Help find out if the news website is legit or not. EnvyDC (talk) 04:12, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- I will always be neutral on this although I'm also from the same country as yours. I will try to help whenever I spotted some ridiculous edits here. There is an English version here from the Vietnamese media for the Vietnamese language source. Molecule Extraction (talk) 13:22, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
