Conditionally support mergerI will begin the discussion, since it does not seem to have otherwise begun elsewhere. (Please correct me if I am wrong) The event is notable, but clearly we do not need two articles for the same event. Weak oppose unless there are sources that show that the gangs involved in the 2016 riots are the same as those for the 2017 riots - I can't find the names of the gangs on the references for the Agricultural Penitentiary of Monte Cristo riot. Also, linking the 2016 riots to the later one also highlights the problem of the article page name, 2017 Brazil prison riots, which should also perhaps be reviewed given that riots extend into 2018.
