Where is it "common practice" to include flags before a result is known?
[edit]Pretty sure any newspaper editor would reject such a diagram and tell the writer to get rid of the flag. It just looks odd, unprofessional, geeky even. Show me one single professional publication that does it. MaxBrowne (talk) 01:51, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
- Everyone on Wikipedia does it - includes a flag for the next round if two players from the same country are playing. And I'm not going to argue or continue past this point. Thanks. MasterMind5991 (talk) 06:39, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
- "Everyone on wikipedia does it" is a pathetically weak argument. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball - we don't know that both players won't withdraw or be disqualified. Besides, it adds no information to the article. MaxBrowne (talk) 07:29, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
