Change Motive to read: Anger about recent police shootings of African Americans. Including racial hatred is incorrect information. 2601:140:8C00:52E0:482:CE34:93E9:FCA4 (talk) 12:52, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The current "Motive Backlash to police brutality,..." is a poor choice. Neither of the encounters described at such length (particularly excessive as the first part of this article) involved actual police brutality. "Anger at police killings of Black men" or similar (see the edit described at the beginning of this section) would be better as it does not adopt an arguable characterization of those events in Wikipedia's voice. What did Johnson actually say or write, if anything? Andyvphil (talk) 20:02, 7 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

    School shooting

    [edit]

Re this edit: per MOS:SEEALSO I don't think that this incident really qualifies as a school shooting. Johnson did not set out to kill anyone related to a school, and apart from the standoff on a campus, it has nothing to do with a school. This is stretching the definition of a school shooting as it is too tangential. ♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 17:41, 9 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
