Order in section "Matches"
[edit]Hello, @Qed237, The Replicator, and Chanheigeorge: and others. Maybe better use order of matches in section "Matches" according order in draw? Match1 first, match2 second,... For example, 2016 CAF Champions League qualifying rounds is this order. That easy to users found match in list of matches: first in order - first in list, last in order - last in list. And easy for editors: not need move matches in chronological. When were sections "First legs" and "Second legs" - order in chronological is very good, but now, in my opinion, chronological order not needed. GAV80 (talk) 10:33, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
- Agreed. I wrote this message to The Replicator earlier as he changed the order in this article. I can understand why he did it as the editor who change the format last season introduced the order of matches according to first leg kickoff in 2015–16 UEFA Champions League qualifying phase and play-off round. That editor probably just moved second leg matches up to the first leg matches without thinking about the order, thus keeping the order we had for first legs which was chronologically. However in this case with first leg and second leg together I suppport having the same order as matchtable, which is order of the draw and makes matches easier to find. For example 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification – UEFA Second Round also uses same order as matchtable. Qed237 (talk) 11:31, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
- Same in 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification – CAF First Round as an other example. Qed237 (talk) 11:33, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Qed237: @GAV80: I ordered it by first leg kickoff like last season, but I think order of matchtable is better for searching. If there is consensus on this, I totally support it. The Replicator (talk) 13:12, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
- I don't mind either way, as long as it is consistent within the article. Chanheigeorge (talk) 14:42, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Qed237, GAV80, and Chanheigeorge: As all four of us support it or have nothing against it, I will reorder again matches at Champions' qualification. The Replicator (talk) 15:21, 23 June 2016 (UTC)
