Proposed merge with Wide Left (Minnesota Vikings)
[edit]I'm not yet seeing any reason this game needs to be a separate article; kickers miss field goals not infrequently. I also don't see reliable sources calling this the "Wide Left game" as the page title suggests. 331dot (talk) 16:19, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
Field goals are missed frequently, but game winning, chip shot field goals to decide a playoff game is something different. I am still working on the article, and will provide all required sources.
- This needs to be merged into the Minnesota Vikings season or into 2015–16 NFL playoffs. We don't have a separate page for when Billy Cundiff missed a chip shot that would have beaten the Patriots in the 2012 AFC Championship Game, or when Gary Anderson missed a field goal (his only miss of the season!) that would have beaten the Falcons in an NFC Championship Game back in 1999. Seems silly to have one for a loss in a Wild Card game. Skudrafan1 (talk) 16:32, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
- I would also question whether it is significant to note that Michaels said the kick was no good. He was just doing his job. 331dot (talk) 16:56, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
