Objection to renaming
[edit]I object to renaming Kosovo local elections, 2013 to Kosovan local elections, 2013. @Sundostund: please be so kind to revert yourself and start formal RM procedure.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 00:06, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- All articles about elections in Kosovo (presidential, parliamentary and local) except this one are named "Kosovan", not "Kosovo". I really don't see what's the problem here? This is a talk page, I'll just let other people to say here what they think. Any consensus reached here will be implemented. Cheers! --Sundostund (talk) 00:39, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Your move is contested. Please follow wikipedia rules, restore original name and start formal RM procedure.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 00:46, 25 March 2014 (UTC)

Kosovo local elections, 2013 → Kosovan local elections, 2013 – All articles about elections in Kosovo (presidential, parliamentary and local) except this one are named "Kosovan", not "Kosovo". Pure logic guided me to rename this one in the same way, my bold decision was contested so I'm using a formal RM to give other users the chance to say what they think about this issue. Cheers! --Sundostund (talk) 00:59, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose - Wikipedia:Other stuff exists type of rationale is not enough in this case. Kosovan/Kosovar is ambiguous term. Kosovo is not. Substantial population of Kosovo do not consider themselves and their nation as Kosovan but as Serbian. Thank you for following RM procedure.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 07:08, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- So, why don't you rename all the other election articles like this one? Put "Kosovo" everywhere, instead of "Kosovan". For the sake of consistency, all election articles should be named in the same way (that's the reason why I renamed this article in the first place). There's no reason to keep this one different than all the others. --Sundostund (talk) 13:19, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Oppose Simple said Kosovan and Kosovo is not thesame. Sence en.wiki loves to have everything in most common english name then as it is is the most common english name and kosovan is not. On CNN and BBC where I watched the elections they both said Kosovo local elections. Second reasson the other elections has only been suported by albanians so in my opinion they can be called what they want it to be called but this elections where the only elections where whole country voted with a resolt that the country will stay in two parts after the agreement between republic of serbia, serbians in kosovo and the kosovo goverment. As it looks today this will not happen soon again but who knows. Sence I have familly from Kosovska Mitrovica I had a chance to look at the election registration paper. I said in three languages of witch in english Kosovo local election.Stepojevac (talk) 15:42, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
