Host and nominations
[edit]No host and nominations have been made by the network. The network will be announcing them when it is ready for the voting process to take place. When they are ready, they will have a news release to announce to the world, usually in middle of January. Ucla90024 (talk) 21:18, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

The actual date for this is March 23rd 2013 Fmood123 (talk) 21:39, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
- There is a dispute on this. The date was based on UCLA's Spring break between quarters. Nick has not provided any release yet. One thing is certain now that it will not go back to UCLA, most likely back to USC. The announcement should be coming soon as they normally do at this time. I work for Viacom. This is the date. 76.180.155.234 (talk) 04:11, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
- How do we know you work for Viacom? Last year someone presented a logo that was not to be. USC Trojans not playing its 03/21/13 Men Volleyball game vs. Pepperdine at Galen Center? Ucla90024 (talk) 06:20, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
Announcement will be coming soon, maybe that will prove it to some people, but I know for sure this is the date: March 23rd 2013. (76.180.155.234 (talk) 17:53, 15 January 2013 (UTC))
- I first posted the March 23, 2013 date on 16:00, 4 September 2012, but people keep changing it. Last year the announcement was made on Jan. 10, 2012. Apparently this year, it is late. Ucla90024 (talk) 19:08, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- Now we know the new host is not Jack Black or Kevin James! Ucla90024 (talk) 16:32, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

Dwight Howard, Pitbull, Neil Patrick Harris, and Sandra Bullock are not the only celebrities who got slimed. Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Dwayne Johnson, Nick Cannon, and Josh Duhamel were also slimed. Add these five names to list of Slimed Celebrities, please! 24.91.176.34 (talk) 16:48, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
- All listed. No need to list again. Ucla90024 (talk) 03:45, 29 March 2013 (UTC)

Which part of my phrase is unclear?
[edit]@Magitroopa: Could you please elaborate? Which part of "In comparison to the the previous year's show, there have been fewer events within the show but more rank listing." is unclear? KCAs 2012 had more in-show events, as seen in the lists in the respective sections, whereas KCAs 2013 was largely focused on WatchMojo-style rank listing. Anerisys (talk) 02:22, 26 December 2021 (UTC)
- First of all, calm down with your, "No response in xx hours". Sorry that people have other things to do as well and won't always immediately respond to your every question.
- The 'rank listing' part primarily doesn't make sense... I just briefly checked through the 2013 show and there doesn't appear to be any sort of rank/WatchMojo listings... do you mean in regards to the presentation of the category winners or something else entirely? Do you mean the slime-related events have something to do with WatchMojo/rank listing? Magitroopa (talk) 17:47, 26 December 2021 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks for the response. I apologize for having been a bit obstrusive. I was just unsure whether you have seen the message, and I had a suspicion that you were neglecting me out of spite.
- "do you mean in regards to the presentation of the category winners" – Yes. The "events within the show" list of the 2013 show is observably shorter than that of 2012, and looking at surviving recordings such as this one, the majority of the event was presenting category winners in a similar style as WatchMojo and YouTube Rewind 2019, just in a stadium with spectators.
- "Do you mean the slime-related events have something to do with WatchMojo/rank listing?" – No. The gags such as the push-up challenge, parachute jump, and the ring fight were the rest of the show (outside of the presentation of the category winners).

Mention of "mustache cam" running gag
[edit]The audience was asked several times throughout the show to put on fake mustaches. Some sources: mjsbigblog (possibly not reliable), 9JA updates. What do other editors think? Is it worth mentioning or perhaps too trivial? Anerisys (talk) 15:20, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
