Help with Results Table
[edit]I don't know how those "team name template" things work, could someone correct/make those? CyMoahk (talk) 19:30, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- Nevermind, I figured it out. =-) CyMoahk (talk) 00:34, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
Top Scorers
[edit]Wouldn't it be easier for the Top Scorers section to just let how many goals the top 10 players in the league have instead of doing it game by game? It's a pain to update it the way it is set up now. Sloclops (talk) 14:51, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
- It'd definitely a little cumbersome, but it's a lot more complete and shows information that a simple list doesn't. I'll take care of it when I get a good amount of free time again (I've been working 11+ hrs/day for the past two weeks). CyMoahk (talk) 14:53, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
BOS-WNY ruling
[edit]WPSL has retroactively ruled the game as an 0-1 forfeit in favor of the Flash as opposed to the 3-2 Breakers victory thanks to the Breakers using an ineligible player. How do we want to handle that in terms of the game summary and all of the goals-related stats? CyMoahk (talk) 14:53, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
- Oh dang. Do you have a reference on that? I would assume that if they forfeit the game, all goals are forfeit as well. Hopefully a statement from WPSL would say something along these lines. As far as game summary goes, listing it as 0 - 1 and having a note that says original score...forfeit game...and whatever else. Sloclops (talk) 18:04, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
- Found a reference. Breakers Docked 3 Pts. For Ineligible Player Here's another that mentions the goal situation. Breakers blast 'travesty of justice' Definitely unfortunate for Schoepfer. Sloclops (talk) 18:11, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
- I tried to updated the article to include this game. I think I correctly changed everything, but I may have missed something.Sloclops (talk) 13:47, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

Results table order
[edit]I've changed the results table order. By all the surviving sources I can find, including the linked source for the results table (1), the Breakers finished atop of the table team even with the forfeited match. Contemporary WPSL and RS/IS media reports called them regular season champions (1, 2, 3, 4, BOS) and RS/IS reports and Flash themselves additionally confirm them finishing second (1, WNY), with the NWSL Flash media guide confirming that. The Breakers also had the top seed in the playoffs and the Flash had the second seed (1, 2), also corroborated by the Flash media guide. Retrospectives that don't rely on Wikipedia also list the Breakers either as atop the table or explicitly regular-season champions (1, 2, 3), as does the NWSL Breakers' media guide.
Is there a reason why the Breakers are listed as second on the final results table at 30 points? Was it adjusted after the season separately from the initial forfeit adjustment, and if so, is there a source for the adjustment? Are the listed tiebreakers of points/GD/goals scored correct? (WPSL tiebreakers were head-to-head first, GD between teams second, but it's unclear if they applied to WPSLE: 1). The Red Stars also forfeited a match that season but aren't docked points, is there a reason why the Breakers' total is? -Socccc (talk) 23:48, 16 June 2023 (UTC)
