November 2005

[edit]

There was a majority to delete it, but sadly not large enough. It threatens to grow completely out of control. It looks like the coverage of the 2012 Olympics is going to be badly organised, which is a great pity. CalJW 18:56, 20 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your behaviour has been the bit that's been a "great pity" and I'm very happy that your attempts to mess up all the decent organisation of these articles has come to naught. Shame that you had to waste people's time with your actions rather than discussing it and possibly brainstorming an even better solution (or at least a compromise). violet/riga (t) 19:13, 20 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to me that this article is primarily made up of repetition. The majority of information could be included on the main "2012 Summer Olympics" page. That page needs to be kept up to date with the developments of the bid (that currently are detailed on this page) or else it will simply become a repetition of the "London 2012 Olympic Bid" page that is a historical account of the London bid. At present this page looks to be a combination of the two and the information could easily be split to make the whole organisation more coherant.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by S Newton (talkcontribs).

It contains tons of information not included anywhere else. I will do a push on it to add announcements from the past few months. violet/riga (t) 22:25, 11 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I take your point and there is some worthwhile content here, but at the same time the main London 2012 page needs to be kept up to date ith all the developments. This page might serve a useful purpose as a record of how changes and developments have taken place over time, rather than as an 'update' of the main page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by S Newton (talkcontribs).

I would definitely keep this - Much of East London is to be developed or redeveloped as part of the Olympics - essentially none of the Olympic infrastructure is built at the moment. RHB 16:34, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Terrorist attack

[edit]

Yes, Pam Am 103 exploded whilst in the air not on the "soil" but bare in mind that 11 people in the town of Lockerbie also died. The original statement is misleading.81.159.77.176 14:44, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Olympic Stadium picture

[edit]

I thought this stadium was cancelled and another one was scheduled. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.49.123.206 (talk) 18:24, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.

Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:

Triggered by \brailway-technology\.com\b on the local blacklist
