I think the division and conference standings should be updated in the NBA season box. All of the other teams include their current standings. The standings will occasionally be out of date, but not for long. It's useful to be able to see where the team is at with a quick glance. It's quite easy to look up their standings since the page has uses the standings templates down in the regular season section and those stay pretty up-to-date.
