Article structure?
[edit]I just touched up the summary of game 1 a bit, adding WP:RS where needed. Looking back to NBA Finals articles from prior years, the introduction on this current article seems to be slightly too long, and it contains information not mentioned in the body of the article. I am no sports expert, but if someone here is more familiar with the NBA finals, the WP:LEDE guideline would be a helpful one to follow. I'll do my best to add citations as time allows. - I transferred much of the lead to the background section, which meant it didn't flow that easily; also, most of this are trivia fluff -- first Finals to begin in a Tuesday? What the? If people would want to keep that those would have to be reworded or placed in a better section. We could have a season summary for both teams (MIA's begins at the "The Decision"), and some info on broadcasting notes. –HTD (ITN: Where no updates but is stickied happens.) 16:38, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- I removed the Tuesday sentence, as it is extremely trivial.—Chris!c/t 18:18, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- I do found it extremely amusing now. Probably tells you they scheduled the finals differently in the past. heh. But its OK for it to be gone.
- Also, I guess much of the info on the Background section can be easily sourced -- I've read most of those before elsewhere, so that should be easy. –HTD (ITN: Where no updates but is stickied happens.) 02:01, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

I've cited most of the game summaries, only these are unverified:
- Game 2: "The Mavs win broke the Heat's 9-game home winning streak in the playoffs, costing them a chance to tie the 1996 Bulls' mark of 10 straight. This is the second straight Finals with a 1–1 split after two games, which followed five straight years with the home team leading 2–0 (2005–2009)."
- Game 4 stat on lead changes and deadlocks.

Roster
[edit]In the tables in the section "Rosters", what do the asterisks mean? Am I missing it somewhere? It should be noted in the legends. Sandboxer (talk) 18:29, 13 June 2011 (UTC)

Interesting Facts
[edit]I added the fact about the Mavericks coming back from being down 2 or more times in a series to win the series. --Ddwould (talk) 05:05, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- Where's the source? KING OF WIKIPEDIA - GRIM LITTLEZ (talk) 05:11, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- The source is wikipedia itself. List of NBA champions --Ddwould (talk) 05:13, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- The paragraph could use a more grammatically correct approach. --Ddwould (talk) 05:54, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
- Wikipedia isn't a proper source. You need a source for your statement. KING OF WIKIPEDIA - GRIM LITTLEZ (talk) 05:59, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
Lebron had 8 Points in Game 4. Just thought the public should be informed about that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.32.4.152 (talk) 12:30, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
