I'll review this article shortly. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:21, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delay in getting to this. Here are my concerns:

I'll put the article on hold for a week and will pass it when the issues are fixed. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:02, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What does this mean?

[edit]

"On the third lap, NASCAR held a moment of silence to honor Dale Earnhardt."

What exactly does that mean? It is probably glaringly obvious to NASCAR afficianados but I'm sure there are zillions who haven't a clue what it means. Did they stop the race for that lap? Or, does it mean that the crowd stood and remained silent for the lap? Needs explanation. Moriori (talk) 04:09, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

During the third lap of the race, their was a moment of silence, which honored Dale Earnahardt, who died in the race 10 years earlier. Could you help me on explaining this any better? Thanks. -- Nascar1996(TalkContribs) 17:59, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, I'd try but I am totally in the dark here. Who observed the moment of silence, and how? Moriori (talk) 20:58, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Lets see. Everyone at the track went silent. I assume that would be who observed the moment of silence. Now how, they remained quiet until the completion of the third lap. I guess thats what you meant. -- Nascar1996(TalkContribs) 02:03, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Noting that they stood up in silence as per the picture would be good to add into the text of the race; just an extra addition to the sentence already there, nothing more. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 03:35, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
They stand up for the beginning of the race. They always do. Then they sit back down as longer the event goes. -- Nascar1996(TalkContribs) 03:45, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed your amendment slightly from "NASCAR held a moment of silence" to "the crowd stood in silence". Moriori (talk) 03:48, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks. -- Nascar1996(TalkContribs) 05:39, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Everything else checks out now, so I'll pass the article. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 14:52, 19 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
