Rally for Relief

Per Federer's Facebook page: This Sunday at 2p on Rod Laver Arena we are going to do a charity match called "Rally for Relief" to help raise money for the relief efforts for the devastating floods in Queensland. Lots of the games stars will participate. It should be a lot of fun.

    The fourth round saw Ferrer end Raonic's run, and Dolgopolov edge out Soderling in the final set for the biggest upset in the tournament to date

What is the NEC tour? Grand Slam should be capitalized, as it is a proper name.

NEC tour is the tour for Wheelchairs or are you just dumb from what is clearly implied

  • (The Hisense and Rod Laver Arenas have roofs which allow play to continue indoors should the roof be needed). - very odd sentence. I don't understand why you put the brackets before and after it. It is also unreferenced.

This article failed its good article nomination. This is how the article, as of March 28, 2011, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: ✗ Fail – The quality of writing within this article, and especially in the lead, is poor. The lead does not seem to provide an overview of the subject matter (as it should, per WP:LEAD).
2. Factually accurate?: ✓ Pass – No obvious inaccuracies, and sourcing is fine.
3. Broad in coverage?: ✓ Pass – Covers most obvious aspects of the subject.
4. Neutral point of view?: ✓ Pass – Article uses a neutral point of view throughout.
5. Article stability? ✓ Pass – Article is not subject to rapid changes or edit warring at present, and is not about a current event.
6. Images?: ✓ Pass – Good volume of images, spread sensibly throughout the article.

The quality of writing within this article is so poor as to be distracting to the reader. Even controlling for the allowance for not necessarily perfect prose that is written into the GA criteria, this article does not meet the requirements, and would require, in my view, a sizeable investment of effort if another GA nomination were to be successful.

The players are listed as having won GRAND SLAMS. This is VERY inaccurate. This tournament is a MAJOR TOURNAMENT. It takes winning 4 in a calendar year to win a GRAND SLAM--not just one major. Rod Laver and only a handful of others, in the entire history of the game, are the only ones to win Grand Slams. 75.211.188.164 (talk) 02:27, 28 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
