Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose that 2011 Arab Youth Championship be merged into 2011 Arab U-18 Championship. Both articles are the same, and I believe that the naming of 2011 Arab U-18 Championship is the correct title. Druryfire (talk) 15:19, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agree: I agree 100%. --Faycal.09 (talk) 20:05, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Normally, Normally we need to put the contrary, i mean from 2011 Arab Youth Championship to 2011 Arab U-18 Championship because we have more details on the title, it's the real nomination and finaly it's the source competition name Arab U-18 Championship. Greetings. --Faycal.09 (talk) 22:27, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I've sent a message to the user who renamed the article without discussing. I'm trying to get some disucssion on this rather than goign gung-ho and doing my own stuff. Let's work as a team here shall we?

In the article in question we have two external links. One, from goalzz that can be written by anybody, just like this site and one from Futbol24 with is an official company whom use U18 in their title. Druryfire (talk) 20:40, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

U18 does not exist in African and Arab countries. U18 is really just the second year of the U20 team. That is, the 2011 U18 tournament is really just the U20's that are preparing for competitions in 2013. The players are U18 at the time, but in reality they are preparing for U20 competitions, that is why the competition title should remain as Youth (or even U20) in my opinion. The same goes with UNAF competitions. Sometimes you read that it's the U19's or U18's but really it's the U20 competition. TonyStarks (talk) 21:06, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
