[edit]As Texas politicos know, the filing deadline has already occurred. Therefore, they should reflect the primary candidates for congressional office, if any. These races should reflect 2008 races, not 2006, because they are the latest races to date, and may reflect an updated district outlook. (margin getting smaller for candidates because of influx of minorities or whatever) Commentary about possible succession to the Senate should be limited, and should be properly sourced. Jeb Hensarling is listed as being a potential contender, but I have heard nowhere about that. I have heard that Joe Barton may run for the Senate. The CQ Politics links are out of date and should be moved to reflect 2008 status. As such, I have added the update template to the top of this page. I will try to do some of this stuff and more when I have some spare time. BrianY (talk) 22:10, 7 February 2010 (UTC)

[edit]According to this article there is a Libertarian party candidate running against small-l libertarian congressman Ron Paul in district 14. However according to the Libertarian party website they have no candidate in district 14. --80.223.214.74 (talk) 15:44, 31 August 2010 (UTC) http://lptexas.org/content/current-candidates

[edit]All the similar articles I've seen have the Districts in numeric order. Why is this one different, and should it be? Flatterworld (talk) 14:29, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- I actually perfer if all the similar elections were like this. But I do support consistency, so what do you think Flatterworld?--Jerzeykydd (talk) 23:46, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
- I just realized not all the districts were included, which imo is a good reason to use numeric sequence. Flatterworld (talk) 20:50, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
Roy Morales
[edit]Suggesting merging Roy Morales into this article because it fails WP:POLITICIAN and WP:BIO as a stand-alone article. Arbor832466 (talk) 15:48, 6 October 2010 (UTC)
