Length between rounds.
[edit]Just wondering, does anyone know why there is such a large gap in time between the first round and the quarter finals. Likewise Quarters and semi's? Nath1991 (talk) 09:59, 29 May 2010 (UTC)
AFC Cup Qualification
[edit]Does the winner of the competition automatically gain a place in the AFC Cup. Does this include foreign teams? I.E should South Melbourne FC win this years Singapore Cup, will they be allowed to qualify for the AFC Cup, as they are an Australian Club, and Australia is a full member of the AFC? Nath1991 (talk) 13:52, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- No, foreign sides would not qualify, that even includes the local based foreign clubs in the S.League such as Etolie and Beijing Talent for example. Druryfire (talk) 08:43, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
- So just Singapore teams. And should a foreign team win, the runner up, or closest singaporian team would go through to the AFC Cup? Nath1991 (talk) 09:08, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
- More likely, the runner up from the S.League will get in. In the 2010 Cup, there are now only two teams from Singapore that could enter the AFC Cup, Tampines and Balestir. Young Lions can't play because they are part of the national team setup so to speak. Druryfire (talk) 12:55, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
