NOT link spam
[edit]There have been several reversions of a link to a site with video interviews of participants on the 2010 NPT Review Conference. These interviews are directly relevant to the article, and provide useful amplification on the article's contents. The link should be retained. NPguy (talk) 03:16, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
- The link was added to the spam blacklist, due to regular issues with spamming. There have been several IPs and single-purpose accounts that have done nothing but add these links, including this link to the site's main page. If you feel it is actually appropriate for use in this article, then you can certainly apply for an exemption for the specific page; I can assist you in doing that if need be. However, you will need to remove the link from the article for now as it will otherwise prevent editing of the article. (The presence of a blacklisted URL means the system will prevent the page from being saved.) --Ckatzchatspy 04:55, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
- I have no idea what you are talking about with "blacklisted" spam links. You provide no link yourself. In any case, the article manifestly can be and has been edited by both of us. Including the link didn't seem to disable anything. If there is a problem you can fix, please do. The link is appropriate and valuable for this article. NPguy (talk) 04:05, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
- The site is now on the spam blacklist, because it has been the subject of a series of edits by single-purpose accounts and IPs (who have done nothing other than to add these links). It affects this article in that the system software will not allow new edits to be saved with the link present. --Ckatzchatspy 08:25, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
- That does not seem to be the case. I just made an edit that seems to have been saved. NPguy (talk) 02:24, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
[edit]Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
Below is a list of links that were found on the main page:
