Wrong scenarios
[edit]If Switzerland beats Honduras by a 2 goal margin, Switzerland is qualified despite the result between Spain and Chile. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.102.5.63 (talk) 17:55, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
I think there's another error here.- If Chile and Spain draw 0-0, and Switzerland and Honduras draw 1-1, both Spain and Switzerland have a similar score in the rankings. Now the cross chart states that Chile and Spain will advance, which is incorrect IMHO. Or what rule will be applied then?

- No, I'm mistaken as it'd mean that the Swiss would have one more goal against them, compared to Spain. Sorry! Qwrk (talk) 11:39, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
To the anonymous original poster, you are correct that Switzerland would advance with a 2-goal victory. That is covered in the tiebreak note stating they will advance if the combined margin of their win and a Spain win is at least 3 goals. If Switzerland win by 2, then 3 is the least the combined margin could possibly be. LarryJeff (talk) 14:17, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Line-up graphics/Starting vs. actual formations.
[edit]As we have mentioned in the Group A and Group F discussion pages, Chile's starting formation in their opening game against Honduras has been listed as 4-4-2 which couldn't be more wrong considering their 3-3-1-3 was very well documented before the tournament as one of the tactical novelties to look out for at this year's World Cup. Instead of using FIFA's tactical line-up document to reference how teams set out to play, I believe we should use the actual formation document which is available from the official FIFA index page of each match before creating line-up graphics. While I understand it would be extremely difficult for us to apply this to previous tournaments, and such information is not always available, I believe using this document wherever available in future will allow us to portray games more accurately if FIFA's tactical line-up documents prove to be incorrect. Qualification error
[edit]Will someone please fix the coloured shadings as Chile are not assured of quaalification and Honduras have not been eliminated yet KP-TheSpectre (talk) 20:27, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
