Could someone replace the photo of the Şükrü Saracoğlu with the logo of the final, like the one shown here?:

Who got medals?

[edit]

A saw Fedetskyy, Castillo, Virt, Shust on the medal ceremony. But they did not play in UEFA Cup.--Anatoliy (Talk) 22:27, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

UEFA Regulations state only that each team receives 30 medals (gold for the winners, silver for the losers) and that additional medals may not be produced. I assume it's up to the club to decide how to distribute those medals. Were Fedetskyy, Castillo, Virt and Shust in the UEFA Cup squad and just not selected for any games, or were they left out of the 25-man squad altogether? – PeeJay 22:33, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It seems that Fedetskiy, Castillo and Shust were included in Shakhtar's UEFA squad for this season, but Virt wasn't (unless I'm blind). Did you see Virt actually get a medal, or was he just celebrating with the team? – PeeJay 22:35, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Castillo I saw with medal. Other I saw when celebrating.--Anatoliy (Talk) 22:46, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, I think it's safe to assume that Virt didn't get a medal, since he wasn't in the 25-man squad. – PeeJay 05:38, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
