Misuse of the Speedy Deletion Tag

User JamesBWatson (user page linked here) initially charged that the 2010 version of this page should be speedily deleted. In defense of this page I mentioned the 2009 version, as with all similar college football pages. Instead of attempting to explain why he believed the page should be removed and attempting to argue against its inclusion, he simply pasted another speedy deletion tag on the 2009 page. I believe this is gross misuse of the tag and that the notability guidelines have clearly been met, as with such other 2009 college football team-related articles as 2009 Florida Gators football team, 2009 Virginia Tech Hokies football team, and 2009 West Virginia Mountaineers football team. --JBladen (talk) 19:20, 16 March 2010 (UTC)
