Can we please call ETA

[edit]

a terrorist group instead of a separatist group? They're on everybody's list of terrorist organizations, from the Spanish government to the EU to NATO. And they certainly act like terrorists, what with the bombings and murders and all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.33.158.121 (talk) 21:48, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There's no need to state opinion as fact. Wikipedia is a neutral encyclopedia and should not take sides, in the same way the BBC do not. O Fenian (talk) 15:05, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just add a source referencing how many people they have murdered in the name of Marxist-Leninism and state "a group which has killed hundreds of civilians". Since such a statement would be a completely factual and verifiable, people would be unable to negate it or complain like they do with the term terrorism. Articles about Charles Manson and Richard Ramirez still refer to these people primarily as serial killers, because thats what they are notable for, we certainly shouldn't negate the fact that this groups existence revolves primarily around killing people, even if elements of their defense league would like to softly, softly play this down. - Yorkshirian (talk) 15:58, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am unaware evidence that ETA deliberately targeted family members and civilians as the article claims, if there is a source that makes the claim please provide one. If it is an editor's judgement that ETA targeted them, it should be removed. O Fenian (talk)
