The Circuit Map
[edit]Just Looking at the Map, and it says that the corner after the straight should be approached at 81mph, Gear 8.
Should that be right? 86.134.82.221 (talk) 18:41, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
- They don't even have an eighth gear... That should probably be second. Could somebody with expertise with images change it? Apterygial 21:52, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Trivia section
[edit]This will be also the last race for Kimi Räikkönen at Ferrari. He will be replaced by Fernando Alonso for 2010. Where does it say this? Has there been an announcement regarding Raikkonen? This is speculation surely? --Falcadore (talk) 21:13, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yes, there has been an announcement. Ferrari confirms three-year Alonso deal. Readro (talk) 21:35, 30 September 2009 (UTC)
Sébastien Loeb
[edit]After poor performances in GP2 testing, is it now unlikely Loeb will take part? Delete? --Falcadore (talk) 20:57, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'd be inclined to agree, but I suppose stranger things have happened, and Alguersuari isn't exactly pulling up any trees. Let's see if the next few days bring anything, and then maybe delete it if there's no word. Bretonbanquet (talk) 21:11, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
Practice
[edit]This section is miles too long. What is it about Friday practice at the moment? Bretonbanquet (talk) 13:12, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- I was bored and didn't want to do my accounting assignment. I'll go on for pages if you let me, though I do confess I didn't realise just how long it was. I try to make things interesting, and sometimes I get more than a litte carried away with it. Feel free to edit down; I'm off to bed since it's 1:30am. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 14:37, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- Admittedly, doing anything sounds better than an accounting assignment, so there's a valid excuse there ;) Bretonbanquet (talk) 15:21, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'm going to trial a new format. Rather than recount each practice session, I'm going to do it team-by-team. Hopefully that can cut some of the waste out. If it works, we can start using it for 2010. Prisonermonkeys (talk) 23:44, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- Cool. It's got to be brief though - practice sessions are pretty small beer really. Bretonbanquet (talk) 23:45, 31 October 2009 (UTC)
- It's still a little long, but I go team-by-team and try and mention what each driver got up to over the course of the session. It's better, but maybe it could still do with some work. Prisonermonkeys (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 00:15, 1 November 2009 (UTC).
- Practice should be limited only to interesting event that occurred in it. A team-by-team breakdown is completely unnecessary. Practice contributes so little to the final result of the weekend, anything more than one paragraph would be in the case of something really important happenning, like Mika Hakkinen's 1995 Adelaide crash. --Falcadore (talk) 08:17, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. I'd give each practice session little more than two sentences, listing the frontrunners and any surprises, more if there were crashes, or other important incidents. Apterygial 11:29, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
