UEFA/CL Teams
[edit]Tried to add a table, but I might have made a mess of it. Doesn't Norway get #1 to CL 2nd round, then the cup winner + #2 and #3 to the UEFA Cup 1st round, and #4 to Intertoto? Then it gets shuffled around of course depending on who the cup winner is, but I think that's the basics. This is what the UEFA web page says, though this is the current UEFA season (pdf):[1]. - I made a sortable table with links to the corresponding wiki article. The number of teams are allocated according to Norway's UEFA league co-efficient. This is all well explained in the cup-articles, take a look ;) Hope I made it a bit more clearer for you. lil2mas (talk) 01:28, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- The table looks a lot better now, except if your screen's not too big, the table gets squashed by the right-hand map. Maybe it could be moved further down?
- I looked at the league co-efficient, but that only gives you the number of teams from each nation, and not at which stage of the competition they're allowed to enter. Last year Brann, as the winner, entered the 2nd round of CL, Stabæk as runner-up and Lillestrøm as cup-winner entered the 2nd round of the UEFA Cup, and Viking as number 3 entered the UEFA Cup in the 1st round. Has this changed? Lampman Talk to me! 21:51, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- The rules are changing for the UEFA Champions League 2009-10 season, according to this article. Better explained in this PDF-file lil2mas (talk) 01:57, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I just didn't find that. Now it's crystal-clear, thanks! Lampman Talk to me! 14:33, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
