Sortable roster

[edit]

FYI – I made the roster a sortable table. In order to make names sort by last name, make class sort in the desired way, and make heights sort the desired way, I added expressions like the following:

<span style="display:none">x</span>
  • For names, I replace “x” with the players last name.
  • For heights, I converted to metric, so it would automatically be sortable, but dispaly both metric and English
  • For class, I replaced x with 1-8, using 1,3,5 and 7 for frosh, soph, etc, and even numbers for the redshirt versions, so "redshirt class" always follows "class".

The upside is that the table is now sortable, the downside is that if someone needs to edit the table, there may be some momentary confusion about the entries. This note should help. --SPhilbrickT 22:35, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
