Final 16 and/or Final 8
[edit]What do you think about? Kedarus 19:17, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Final 16 is much better - like it was in the Australia Open. Can you change it? 88.154.90.200 13:12, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Schnyder vs. Sharapova
[edit]Now, I'm not too keen on the rules of professional tennis, but in that last set when it was (I think) tied 8-8, someone from the crowd yelled when Sharapova was serving and Schnyder put her hand up, signifying that (I think) the serve should be played over because of the disturbance, but when she appealed it to the judge, he gave the point to Sharapova. Now, I'm not one to replay things with different potential outcomes, but if Schnyder ended up with that point, I think she could have won the match. Why did the judge make this call, and was there any precedent to do what the judge did? └Jared┘┌t┐ 18:02, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- I guess after Sharapova's complaint the judge had to give her the point. Though itwas absolutely unfair (from Sharapova) For the first time I was really proud to hear the French crowd whistling. Patty Schnyder is a real sportswoman. Mb731 18:20, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, it was handled well by Schnyder, but certainly not by the judge, IMO. I mean, she had her hand up before she even served the ball! └Jared┘┌t┐ 18:50, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
