- ... that Robbie Williams scored the opening goal for Blackpool in the 2007 Football League One play-off Final?
- ALT1:... that both Robbie Williams and Michael Jackson played for Blackpool in the 2007 Football League One play-off Final?
5x expanded by The Rambling Man (talk). Self-nominated at 22:15, 26 February 2021 (UTC).
- Article is easily expanded enough, properly cited, earwig complains about "for the first time in 29 years" being close paraphrasing but ... meh .... I like ALT1. I'm concerned about who's going to report minor formatting issues at ERRORS when this hits the queue. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 22:39, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
- Don't worry, I'm happy to complain about my own stuff where required. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 22:43, 26 February 2021 (UTC)

Route to the final
Nottingham Forest to break
— Link break to Glossary of association football terms#B?Alan Wright's own goal
— Any details?Keith Southern opened the scoring
— When?Andy Morrell then doubled Blackpool's lead
— When?
Background
Chris Brandon was available for Blackpool after serving out a suspension
— For what?- Source doesn't say, I imagine it was for either a straight red (usually three game ban) or two yellows (one game ban). The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 09:05, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
Southern returned to the team after recovering from injury
— What injury?- The source isn't helpful with that. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 09:05, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
Chris Cohen and Anthony Barry awaited fitness tests
— What does this mean? And presumably they passed, given that they both played?- They were waiting for their fitness to be tested. The source doesn't say they passed but it can be inferred from the fact they played, although even then players have been known to play despite being injured, so we can't make that kind of claim. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 09:05, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- Right, I was more trying to get at why they were awaiting fitness tests. Previous injuries? --Usernameunique (talk) 09:48, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- For sure, but that's not given in the source how/when those injuries may have occurred. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 09:51, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

Parker was fouled
— Suggest "[name] fouled Parker".- If only we knew who [name] was. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 09:05, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
Post-match
The Blackpool manager Simon Grayson had been confident of success
— We can't actually know that he was confident of success; all we can know is that he said he was confident of success (if he did, in fact, say that after the match).Blackpool finished in 19th place in the Championship, three places above the relegation zone.
— And how many points?
Overall
- The Rambling Man, minor points above. --Usernameunique (talk) 07:35, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- I see you put the article on hold, which is fine. The reason for waiting is because if I post a review in one go and then immediately place it on hold, Legobot does not go through all the motions that it does when an article is placed "on review". See discussion here. So I prefer to leave it on review until Legobot does its thing, and then place it on hold. --Usernameunique (talk) 08:00, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- It had sent me a message 20 minutes earlier that you'd started the review. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 08:17, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- My point is just to explain why I had not yet placed the article on hold, and to let you know about the Legobot quirk for future reference. You may have already known of this quirk—and checked to ensure that Legobot had gone made it's initial "on review" sweep (which it had, 12 minutes earlier) before placing this article on hold—but as I don't know whether you did or not, I dropped a line. Cheers, --Usernameunique (talk) 08:26, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- I knew it had done the sweep because, as I said, I had already got the message on my talkpage. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 09:05, 9 March 2021 (UTC)

Nationalities and flags
[edit]The nationalities of those involved is not important to this article and flags are simply decorative. Moreover they are not referenced in the article itself so they have been removed. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 21:11, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
