Youth teams
[edit]Should we not add the results of the youth teams such as the U21s to this article. Darryl.matheson (talk) 19:40, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- As in Scotland youth teams? The only problem would be keeping it up-to-date as the SFA website is dreadful and still haven't updated some scores from last year [1]. I've added the Under-21 scorers for just now anyway. Franky843 (talk) 23:48, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- The UEFA website is very good, although I think only for competitive fixtures. I thought of this when I saw the U-17s had qualified for the U-17 championship and realised that the results were not shown on this page. I don't think we should show all the teams results (i.e. U-16 and U-15 teams) but I certainly think the U-17s and U-19s are notable enough, how about you? Darryl.matheson (talk) 15:08, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
- Now added. I decided not to wiki-link to the country articles for Under-19 and Under-17 nations as most do not have an article and it would only result in a series of red links. Not sure whether we should include friendly matches or just have competitive matches. I've added the friendly matches in for now anyway. Franky843 (talk) 05:55, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- I think friendly results may as well be there, just as long as the results are kept up to date. I will wiki-link the teams that do have articles Darryl.matheson (talk) 10:16, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
Honours
[edit]Should the Honours section not really be called Other honours, as the league competitions are already shown above that section. I don't see the need to list the winners of the leagues like is done in the english articles since that is already obvious from the league tables. Another thing I wonder is whether the Youth Cup is notable enough to be listed in the Cup honours section and whether competitions like the Forfarshire Cup or Glasgow Cup are worthy of mention as someone recently added those sorts of competitions to the 1909–10 article. Darryl.matheson (talk) 11:48, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, 'Other honours' sounds more appropriate. The Scottish Youth Cup is definetely notable and worth adding. The only problem with this section is trying to find information regarding the Non-league and Junior leagues. I can't find any information online regarding the winners of any of these, any idea where the information can be found? Franky843 (talk) 18:07, 29 May 2008 (UTC)
- I have also had the same problem finding information on the junior leagues and I can't find it anywhere, I have seen articles in newspapers about the junior leagues when any has been won, but I forgot I should have updated this article with the winners. Darryl.matheson (talk) 15:13, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- I have just had a look at the SJFA website there is some information there but it would appear most if not all of the leagues it details have not finished yet. Darryl.matheson (talk) 15:17, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Smothing else I question is whether the competitions in the table should for example specifically say Scottish Cup 2007-08 or just Scottish Cup , there is no article on the Junior Cup or youth cup, so someone whould not necessarily know the were clicking on a 2007-08 article, I think it probobly should include the season, just to make everything clear to the reader. Darryl.matheson (talk) 15:43, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, it certainly makes things clearer, I'll change this just now.
- Thankfully someone has added the winners for the various Non-league and Junior competitions, I've left a message on their talk page so that we can possibly add sources. Franky843 (talk) 14:36, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
