Merge with General Election article

[edit]

I did not propose the merge, but discussion should go below. --hello, i'm a member | talk to me! 15:33, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm the one proposing the merge. (Basically the other article is just details about this one that are more current; I propose that this tile be kept for the merged article (to keep in the lines of the other Mexican election articles), but mostly use the other article's content.) In addition I note that the main page is linking to the other one; which probably has a lot to do with why that article is more current. Jon 17:55, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mexican general elections, 2006 is more in line with the general style used on Elections by country. I suggest keeping that title and merging this content there. Eluchil404 22:33, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • These shouldn't merge, because this is a directory of all the elections of 2006 with the general election of July 2 being the most important one. --FateClub 07:50, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • There is the chance that the courts might approve a challenge by Lopez Obrador to begin a ballot by ballot count...I suggest that those interested in doing so could develop this article toward tracking these developments. If the courts approve such action, this story will definitely become a distinct topic...as distinct as the 2000 U.S. presidental election fiasco was.
