The world has the text of the Unabomber's manifesto. The world has the transcripts of Joe Stack's manifesto. Where is the full text of the note by this tragically disturbed 15 year old? After some searching I found [1] which asserts that the note read:

The U.S. will have to face the consequences for its horrific actions against the Palestinian people and Iraqis by its allegiance with the monstrous Israelis -- who want nothing short of world domination!

You will pay -- God help you -- and I will make you pay!

There will be more coming! Al Qaeda and other organizations have met with me several times to discuss the option of me joining. I didn't.

This is an operation done by me only. I had no other help, although I am acting on their behalf.

Osama bin Laden is planning on blowing up the Super Bowl with an antiquated nuclear bomb left over from the 1967 Israeli-Syrian War. -Charles Bishop

Another website [2] has a slightly different version (and an image gallery [3], namely the above plus adds an initial paragraph

First of all, Osama bin Laden is absolutely justified in the terror he has caused on 9-11. He has brought a mighty nation to its knees! God blesses him and the others who helped make September 11th happen

The latter source is a Tampa Bay area TV station so has some level of credibility (although the video report at the same url states that people can relax since it's "not a terrorist attack" which the later release of the transcript indicates it certainly was). A national known media source (and perhaps also accompanied a scanned-in image of the suicide note) would be even stronger confirmation that the text is correct and given in full. Only the second link showing that extra paragraph helped make the headlines make sense; upon initially finding only the first link, it seemed like the part about praising 9/11 was not true. Also this note, if confirmed, raises lots of other issues: the public in the U.S. (and elsewhere) should be demanding answers from leaders about whether they have followed up on that "antiquated nuclear bomb" lead and whether it was completely bogus and false or had any basis, even partial, in fact.

In any case, finding the most solid links on/of the suicide note, and adding them to the entry, would be very helpful, and I hope an enterprising fellow editor can successfully research and add that to this article. Harel (talk) 03:20, 8 September 2010 (UTC) Followup: New York Times story supports the preceding [4] but does not give the full text. One other source [I have prepared this statement in regards to the acts I am about to commit] adds one more sentence, before ". First of all, Osama bin Laden is..." and that sentence (apparently the very first one) is just "I have prepared this statement in regards to the acts I am about to commit." BBC reported in 2002 [5] from an al jazeera journalist Yosri Fouda who had met with the two main masterminds (who woked with the direct leader (Atta) that they had thought about nuclear terrorism, but decided "for the time being" against it since it might "get out of hand" (their phrase, see BBC link).[reply]

  • I agree that the Bishop piece is not a reliable source.

I also found odd to link to that site but not the accident report itself. I've removed the Mad Cow conspiracy post and added a link to the NTSB.AkaSylvia (talk) 10:52, 15 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
