Date of parole changed
[edit]Does anyone know how this happened? I can’t find any news story on it.Bjoh249 (talk) 06:31, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
- Criminal justice reform legislation signed by then-governor Jerry Brown stipulated that convicts who committed their crime before their 18th birthday must be granted at least one parole hearing before their 40th birthday. Andy qualifies under that legislation and apparently it does apply to individuals who were convicted before this legislation was passed.174.65.45.152 (talk) 20:15, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
Linkin Park citation
[edit]I copied and pasted the citation from the editing page of a different article where I also used it, for some reason what worked there won´t work here. It says the </ref> tag is missing although it isn't. Maybe someone could have another look at that? Jerkov (talk) 17:34, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Mention in the Santee, California article
[edit]There have been repeated efforts to remove any mention of the shooting from the Santee, California article. In case there is a need for further discussion, I've opened a topic on the article's talk page, and wanted to inform any editors watching this page of the possible discussion. Post move change to WikiProject banners
[edit]After moving this page from Charles Andrew Williams to 2001 Santana High School shooting some changes are needed to the WikiProject banners. Since the subject has changed from a person to an event the article ceases to be a biography about a criminal and becomes an article about a criminal incident. While the article needs to be rewritten, the WikiProject banners also need to be revised. First, this article needs to be listed as the shooting incident concerned, not the perpetrator. Second, the criminal biography banner needs to be removed and replaced with the equivalent crime banner. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 22:49, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
- Changes made. Biograpy banner removed, Criminal Biography changed to Crime banner and listas setting changed to incident name and year. Class and importance setting not changed. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 23:05, 20 August 2021 (UTC)

2001 Santana High School shooting → Santana High School shooting – Per many other articles about American school shootings (e.g. Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, Columbine High School massacre, Santa Fe High School shooting, etc., etc.), I think it would be proper to remove the year from this article title, to keep in line with the aforementioned articles. Love of Corey (talk) 21:50, 8 September 2021 (UTC)
- Support year not needed, oddly the shorter title redirects to a section due to the Charles Andrew Williams page moves. This title can now serve as the main article and the categories at the target aren't needed anymore since the perpetrator's article is now the shooting article. Crouch, Swale (talk) 07:22, 13 September 2021 (UTC)
- The redirect title is much older than the current article title and was created back when Williams' article was a thing. Love of Corey (talk) 00:02, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- Support It's odd that we have the year in the title, it's not like this unless it's like town name (2021 San Jose shooting for reference). On school shootings there is no need for the year in the title. HumanHistory1 (talk) 13:38, 20 September 2021 (UTC)
Move discussion in progress

Parole hearing
[edit]This page says Andy is eligible for parole in March 2024. It is now May 2024. Does anyone know how that went? A quick Google search turned up nothing.174.65.45.152 (talk) 20:16, 23 March 2024 (UTC)
