  • You know my feelings on the fair use programme front cover, I don't see how that enhances the readers understanding of the event. Wembley would be a better lead image as that is a picture of where it actually took place.
  • "organised by The Football Association" -> "organised by the Football Association".
  • "and occurred on " took place.
  • "fourth appearance in the Shield and Manchester United's 20th" 4th/20th or fourth/twentieth.
  • "signings make their" making.
  • "while for Manchester United, goalkeeper Fabien Barthez was the only debutant" -> "while goalkeeper Fabien Barthez was Manchester United's only debutant"
  • Link header.
  • The sending off should be in the match synopsis para in the lead as it played a part in the match.
  • Link referee.
  • Link sent off.
  • Link tackle.
  • Link manager.
  • Link First Division.
  • "This match..." the last match mentioned was the one in 1921...
  • "played at Wembley Stadium before" it might be worth noting this was the "original" Wembley as people may be confused that Wembley Stadium is still very much present.
  • "1–0 in the final" could link the final article.
  • Link penalties to the shootout article.
  • "that he felt good that his " reads odd, maybe "that he was pleased that his"?
  • "will score"" would
  • "Shield's importance, saying: "It is a very important" perhaps "Shield's significance, saying: "It is a very important"
  • "eight of their last 16" 8/16 or eight/sixteen.
  • "before it was discovered that he had been removed " why?
  • Link fourth official.
  • You linked defender, so link midfielder for consistency.
  • "This was the first match of goalkeeper Fabien Barthez for the team." odd way of saying "This was Fabian Barthez's first match"
  • "him to rest for up to "" no up.
  • "operations to help mend" delete "to help mend"
  • Link kicked off.
  • Link foul.
  • Link wall (to the gloss)
  • "The first sign of tension" between the players.
  • "No action was taken" do you mean the ref did nothing?
  • Link cross.
  • "he forced Mikaël Silvestre wide" what do you mean? And wide is repeated in this sentence.
  • ""Ryan Giggs set up Ole Gunnar Solskjær two minutes later, which let Solskjær to direct Manchester United's first chance ..." -> Two minutes later, Ryan Giggs set up Ole GS who struck Manchester United's first chance to score into the side netting.
  • Link side netting.
  • Link header in the main prose.
  • "However, skimmed to " eh?
  • "goal because Leboeuf pressured him" after being pressured by Leboeuf.
  • Summary could use a "first half ended" etc.
  • Link volley.
  • "Barthez dove low"" dived.
  • "Ferguson did not re-organise" not immediately.
  • Link dribbled.
  • Link penalty area.
  • "cut the ball" what do you mean?
  • Where are the nationalities of each player referenced?
  • Where are the player numbers referenced?
    • I don't have a ref for this, but most football articles don't reference this as far as I'm aware. I'm sure the broadcast of the match could be used to cover this and the programme could be used to cover the match rules. NapHit (talk) 20:08, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Where are match rules referenced?
  • Can we learn how each team got on in the league that season in the post-match section?
  • RSSSF can be linked.
  • Isn't ManUtd.com a website? Is Manchester United the publisher?
  • Ref 25 needs an en-dash in the scoreline.
  • As does ref 30, and it's Chelsea F.C.
  • Ref 31, why 062, not just 62?
  • Ref 37, our article italicises The World Game.

That's all I have, it's on hold. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 11:57, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

KingSkyLord any thoughts? I'll fail after a week. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 06:50, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Rambling Man I am working on fixing it today. You can keep the review on hold for now. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 13:57, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
KingSkyLord hey, how's it going? This review's been on the go for 12 days now and progress has been very slow. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 06:27, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Rambling Man At the moment, I am currently really busy and probably will be for the next 7 days which might make the reviewing process slow. However, I promise on evaluating all of your suggestions within the next 10 days. Keep it on hold now. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 02:01, 27 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't strike through my comments, undo all that and allow me to assess if you've addressed the comments. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 23:24, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
KingSkyLord I see you've been busy editing other articles over the last ten days, are you coming back to this? I'm close the review at the end of the day if I don't see progress. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 11:20, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Rambling Man, I'll have a go at tackling these comments later today if they're still unaddressed. Would be a shame to see the article fail if they're not tacked. NapHit (talk) 11:06, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The Rambling Man, I've had a crack at fixing the remaining issues, most of them had been addressed by KingSkyLord. He might be able to address some of the ones I've marked above, but I feel I got through almost everything. NapHit (talk) 20:08, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
NapHit Thank you for your additional help. It was very appreciated. The Rambling Man You can now re-review the article again. I believe I got through all of your concerns and comments. KingSkyLord (talk | contribs) 12:47, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

All good, I made a couple of minor adjustments, but happy to promote. The Rambling Man (Stay alert! Control the virus! Save lives!!!!) 18:17, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
