why cheesemongers?

[edit]

There is a redirect from "cheesemongers" to this article. Am I the only person who might be wondering what the connection is twixt the peddlers of the "fromage de la belle France" and this august and time-honoured military institution? Myles325a (talk) 02:56, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Probably not. The answer may be found in the article on the Horse Grenadier Guards. In all fairness, the various articles on the Life Guards and its antecedents are a dog's dinner that need to be reorganized and probably consolidated. Wally Wiglet (talk) 04:02, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
