This doesn't make sense

This article needs clarification. An aircraft departing 29R would be west of the airport. An aircraft landing on 29L would be approaching from the east. Therefore they would be separated by several miles at least, and no mid-air collision would be possible. Can anyone explain in more detail what *really* happened, please? edit: In addition to my above comment, the article claims "turned left four miles west of the tower" .... but an aircraft would not be west of the tower if it was approaching 29L, so clearly the article contradicts itself! Guinness2702 (talk) 21:19, 9 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
