- "Danny and Erika – existed without affecting land." - Erika affected land
- Oops. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- "a buoy reported sustained winds of 38 mph (61 km/h) over a period of eight and a half minutes." - something isn't write; 38 mph is not tropical storm force winds.
- But, 38 mph over a period of 8.5 minutes does suggest 1-minute sustained winds of tropical storm force. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- "minimum pressure of 1007 mbar." - convert 1007 mbar to inHg
- "Saffir-Simpson scale" - Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Scale
- I think it's somewhat redundant to include the "hurricane" in there. The scale is widely known as not including the word "hurricane". ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- You should expand slightly on the impact in Canada; was there also heavy rain and rough seas?
- Well, there is a sub-article, and its section is rather long to begin with. I'm assuming you're talking about Bob? ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- "and a minimum pressure 944 mbar." - convert 944 mbar to inHg
- "with winds of 135 mph (217 km/h)" - there is inconsistency between the infobox and what the conversion template show. I would just do it manually and write "135 mph (215 km/h)".
- Ah, I hadn't noticed that. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- "Erika began a motion to the north and northeast." - I am not seeing any northerly motion. All I see is a northeastward direction.
- Well, it had to have gone north at some point if it made a turn to the northeast :P However, I removed the "north" portion. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- "Shortly thereafter it passed through the Azores, moving directly over São Miguel Island." - This doesn't flow very well; I would re-word to "Shortly thereafter Erika passed through the Azores, it moved directly over São Miguel Island."
- Honestly I like the previous wording better. Yours has two independent clauses in one sentence, unless you meant to include a semicolon, but even that is unnecessary IMO. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Judging by the summary of Fabian, it appears that it started out as a tropical storm and was never a tropical depression.
- That is indeed how it was operationally, and it is what the preliminary report suggests. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- "including then-President of the United States George Bush's vacation home." - George Bush, which one? George H. W. Bush or George W. Bush?
It says then-President... GWB wasn't president til 2001.♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)- I fixed the wikilink. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 15:09, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- There is no reference to the explanation of what ACE is, nor is there a source for the ACE values of the season.
- There usually isn't. So, I copied what was in the 2007 AHS page (a featured season article that has the ACE explanation). ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- A source is also needed for the storm names and to prove that the name Bob was retired.
- Got it. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Check again for name and date consistency in the references.
- And that's what I get for copying refs from other articles. I think I got it though. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the review. I believe I addressed all of the comments. ♫ Hurricanehink (talk) 14:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Ok, everything looks good! I will now be passing this article for GA. Congratulations,--12george1 (talk) 15:15, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
