Assessment
[edit]I have assessed this as a Stub Class, as it does not go into any details about the event at all, and of low priority as it a highly specific topic within Canada. Cheers, CP 00:50, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Berger's penalty
[edit]Was Berger / the McLaren team aware of the penalty during the race? If so, could they have got Senna to back up the other cars to allow Berger's one-minute penalty to slot him into 2nd place?--MartinUK (talk) 23:39, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- The race report in AUTOCOURSE indicates that McLaren were immediately made aware of the penalty and informed both drivers by radio. I guess Senna could have tried to back up the other cars, but it would have been a pretty delicate balancing act to slow them down enough to enable Berger to finish ahead of them, without risking his own race lead.
