[edit]- On first view, I see that the article is quite long, with over 12,000 words of prose. I would highly encourage you to try and cut that down a bit to make it more manageable. One thing I can advise with that is for the game summaries, remove some of the more specific details about opponent plays, while keeping the main facts. That information can be kept on those teams respective season pages, and can help trim things down. Once that is done I can take another look. Kaiser matias (talk) 17:31, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Carhles: I just wanted to see where things are at here. I see you've been making some edits and cutting it down in size (it's gone form 12,000 to 8,600 words now). Are you still working on it, or would you like me to read through it? Kaiser matias (talk) 16:05, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
- I am still working on it whenever I get the chance. Sorry about the slow progress. I will reply when I finish downsizing. Carhles (talk) 02:36, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- No problem, and thanks for the update. Just let me know here when you're good to go, and I'll take a look. Kaiser matias (talk) 17:42, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
- Finished. Carhles (talk) 21:02, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

First, I'll say thanks for your efforts to cut down the size. I know that can be difficult, but it makes reading the article a lot easier.
- "In a season deemed "Year of the Holdout"..." Who said this?
- "Rodney Peete, who was drafted in the 13th round of the 1989 MLB draft, had intentions to play baseball unless he received "a satisfactory offer" faxed to the Lions office." Shouldn't that be "received 'a satisfactory offer' faxed from the Lions office"?
- The Personal infobox section for both staff and roster will need a citation
- Week 4, "For the first time since 1974, the Lions started 0–4."; Week 5, "With the loss, the Lions fell to a 0–5 record, their first since the 1955 season."; Week 7, "For the third time in as many seasons, the Lions started 1–6."; Week 14, "With the win, the Lions won three in a row for the first time since 1983."; Week 15, "With the win, the Lions won four in a row for the first time since 1980."; Week 16, "With the win, the Lions won five in a row for the first time since 1970." These all need citations.
- Check for duplicate links. Player names, for example, do not need to be linked for each game summary, only the first mention within the article.
Once the above are addressed it should be good to go. Overall sounds like another Lions season, though Sanders did seem to give some glimmer of hope. Kaiser matias (talk) 16:52, 13 January 2024 (UTC)

- The News Tribune, which has now been cited.

- It should be. Changed.

- Removed as there is not a source that states these.

- Tried my best to do so.
